What is the cost of a Ghost-II?
The Ghost-II and Ghost-Pro are both £499 fitted, this includes mobile installation, 3 years warranty and out of hours supports if needed, also a professional covert installation. Auto Communications covers Essex, Surrey, London Kent and further afield for multiple vehicles.
S5 or S7 Tracker?
An S5 tracker is a higher rated tracker by insurers, most insurance company's will more then often ask for an S5 tracker, the S5 has driver recognition technology, meaning a more pro active approach to knowing the cars been stolen, this is the main noticeable difference between the two.
Will it void my warranty?
This is question is best answered by your warranty provider, we cannot answer this for you, Usually they will say no it will not void your warranty, and 99% of the cars we install any security to are still under warranty, but we would always advise speaking to them first an getting it in writing.
Can a Ghost-II be removed if i sell the car?
YES! as long as you book us in before the car is sold of course, booking us in with as much notice as possible is advised, but yes, we can removed the Ghost-II or Pro for £150, and as long as the new car is also compatible, from £150 re fitting cost.
Can a Ghost immobiliser be bypassed?
Yes...and No... an authorised installer can contact Autowatch UK and retain the installation location of your Ghost install location, this is in case your engineer ever went missing and for whatever reason it needed to be removed, but can a thief remove it in seconds? the answer, if fitted by a professional car security company, no chance, fitted by a mate who has watched a youtube video? the chances of it being removed in seconds are a lot higher.
How do i put my Ghost immobiliser in to service / valet mode?
Its very simple.
Turn your car off,
Feet off the pedals,
Put the ignition power on,
Enter your normal code,
Wait for the two flashes or beeps,
Now press your service button FIVE times (your button is written on page 3 of your owners handbook)
Now you should get FIVE flashes or beeps back to confirm its gone into service/valet mode.
